The Venetian Macao

Cotai, Macau

Painted skies, indoor canals and a casino floor so large it is easy to lose track of time. The Venetian is Cotai at full scale.

What the floor tells us

The Venetian Macao opened on the Cotai Strip in 2007 and remains one of the largest casino resorts anywhere in the world. Everything is built on a grand scale, from the lobby to the painted ceilings that make the shopping halls feel like a permanent Venetian afternoon.

Every room is a suite, with a sunken living area separate from the bedroom, which makes it a comfortable base for longer stays or families who want a little space.

The casino floor is enormous and runs around the clock, with tables, slots and private rooms for premium play. Gaming in Macau is restricted to visitors aged 21 and over, so expect ID checks at the entrance.

Outside the casino you can ride a gondola along the indoor canals, catch a concert at the resort’s arena or cross to the neighbouring Cotai resorts through covered walkways.

The lake, the fountains and the glass-flower ceiling are famous for good reason. Behind them is a calm, well-run hotel with one of the Strip’s classiest gaming floors.

Wynn Las Vegas

A bronze curved tower, flower-filled walkways and a golf course in the middle of the desert. Wynn is the place to go when you want Vegas with the volume turned down.
