Bellagio
The lake, the fountains and the glass-flower ceiling are famous for good reason. Behind them is a calm, well-run hotel with one of the Strip’s classiest gaming floors.
Monte-Carlo, Monaco
Facing the most famous casino in Europe since 1864. Marble, gilt and a Michelin-starred dining room, with the Casino de Monte-Carlo a short walk across the square.
The Hôtel de Paris opened in 1864 on the Place du Casino, built to give visitors to the new Monte-Carlo casino somewhere suitably grand to stay. It has hosted royalty, film stars and racing drivers ever since, and it still feels like the centre of Monaco.
A major renovation completed in 2019 modernised the rooms while keeping the Belle Époque details, and added rooftop suites with private terraces. Even the standard rooms carry marble bathrooms and views over the square or the harbour.
The Casino de Monte-Carlo sits just across the square. Expect a dress code in the evening, an ID check at the door and an entry fee for the main gaming rooms. Monaco citizens are not allowed to gamble there, so the crowd is almost entirely visitors.
Book dinner at Le Louis XV, the hotel’s Michelin-starred restaurant, and spend a slow morning at the connected marine spa before the tables open.

Rates, room types and casino opening hours change often. Confirm the details directly with the hotel before you book.

Roman columns, marble statues and one of the busiest casino floors in Nevada. Caesars is pure theatre, and it knows exactly how to put on the show.

A bronze curved tower, flower-filled walkways and a golf course in the middle of the desert. Wynn is the place to go when you want Vegas with the volume turned down.
